JITRA: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa was awarded the Cuepacs Special Award in conjunction with the Civil Servants Labour Day celebration at Dewan Wawasan here today.
Dr Ali Hamsa received a trophy, a certificate and cheque worth RM1,500 which was presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak who launched the event.
Meanwhile, Congress of Union on Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) Pahang chapter president Kamarulzaman Abdul Razak received the Cuepacs Exemplary Leadership Award.
Kamarulzaman bagged a trophy, a certificate and cheque worth RM1,500.
Malayan Nurses Union received the Union Excellence Award and bagged a certificate, a trophy and cheque amounting RM1,500.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar meanwhile, received the Caring Employer Award for Federal Category.
Khalid bagged a trophy, a certificate and cheque RM1,000.
For the local government authority category, MARA director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad received the award.
Ibrahim received a trophy, a certificate and cheque RM1,000.
During the event, Najib also presented a mock cheque amounting RM23,364,700 to the Cuepacs president Azih Muda for Cuepacs Care Takaful Welfare Programme.
