A delegation from South Korea visited MTUC this morning. The delegation was led by Mr Kim, Jin-Kyu,District Mayor of Namgu, Ulsan, Mr. Cho Il Rae, Chairman of Ulsan Petrochemical Complex Association (UPCA), Mr Jae-In Kim, General Manager of Ulsan Regional Office FKTU, representatives of South Korea’s Trade Unions and other corporate officers.
The MTUC is represented by Bro K Soma, Assistant Secretary of Education and Bro Zul Thye, Coordinator of MTUC MRC. Also included in this meeting were Sis Monina Wong, ITUC CSI and Mr Paapa Kwasi, ITUC CSI Legal Officer.
The purpose of the visit to the MTUC is to promote the Corporate Management and Overseas Advisory Committee – Work Visit for benchmarking purposes and sharing information for improving enterprise management and employee management.
Bro Soma has provided a presentation on the history of MTUC, the Malaysian legislative reform, Malaysian Workers’ Management, the Importance of Convention 87 & 98 and many other matters relating to employment.
At the end of the session, both parties exchanged memento.
