PUTRAJAYA, Oct 27 (Bernama) — Two men including a foreign worker were killed when a lorry they were travelling in crashed into a garbage truck on the Dengkil-Puchong Highway, near here, today.
In the 10am incident, Yeow Kit Leong, 51, the driver of the five-tonne lorry which was transporting plastic products and the lorry attendant Raj Kumar Tharu, a Bangladeshi, died at the scene.
Their bodies were sent to Putrajaya Hospital.
The garbage truck attendant, known only as Shafikul and also a Bangladeshi, was seriously injured in the accident and also sent to Putrajaya Hospital while the driver, Zawawi Mat Hussien, 39, was slightly injured.
The accident is believed to have occured when the lorry which was on its way from Puchong to Dengkil crashed into the back of the garbage truck.
Sepang district police deputy chief, Supt Zaldino Zaludin, when contacted, confirmed the incident. — BERNAMA
