M’sian leaders speak out against suicide attack

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian leaders have condemned the suicide attack at Manchester Arena in Britain.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called it a “barbaric and cowardly attack on innocent concert goers”.
MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai urged all countries to unite and defeat terrorism.
“I condemn the attack and call on nations to go all out against terrorism,” he said yesterday.
Global Movement of Moderates Foundation executive chairman and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Nasharudin Mat Isa said it was a mindless act.
He said it went against the shared values of peaceful co-existence as espoused by all of the world’s faiths.
Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang hoped such an atrocity would never happen here.
“We trust all Malaysians will stand together in support of the Government eradicating such extremism,” he said.
MIC Youth chief Datuk Sivarraajh Chandran called on Malaysians to stand with the world in the fight against terrorism.
