He said the Indonesian migrant workers
were deported in three stages through Pasir Gudang port in Johor Baru to Tanjung
Piang, Riau where they continued their way back to Jakarta and Surabaya.

Trimardjono pointed out that 476 of the Indonesian problematic workers in Malaysia
were deported on Monday, followed by 515 others on Thursday and 152 on Friday.</P><P>He
said because they worked in Malaysia without legal documents, they had been held
in a number of prisons in the Malaysian peninsula before being deported.</P><P>According
to the Indonesian consulate spokesman in Johor Baru, more than 13,000 workers
had been deported this year while thousands others in several prisons in Malaysia,
