KL roads to close on Sunday for LTdL 2018

SEVERAL main roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed on Sunday in conjunction with the 2018 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) cycling race, which begins at 1.30pm, before they are reopened in stages at 4pm the same day.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zulkefly Yahya said the roads affected were Kampung Cheras Baru, Jalan Kuari, Jalan Lingkaran Tengah 2 (MRR2), Jalan Cheras, Jalan Tun HS Lee, Jalan Kinabalu, Masjid Negara, and Jalan Sultan Ismail.
Other roads involved include Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja, Dataran Merdeka, Leboh Pasar Besar, Jalan Hang Lekiu, Jalan Tun Perak, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan P. Ramlee, and Jalan Ampang, he said today.
Zulkefly advised motorists to plan their travel and use alternative roads or public transport, and to always obey the traffic rules and instructions of the policemen on duty.
LTdL 2018 has eight stages across eight states with a total distance of 1,341km, having commenced in Kangar on March 18 and finishing in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
