The United States has a March deadline to conclude the talks because it
needs to present it to the US Congress 90 days before its authority to negotiate
FTAs expires in June.

Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said both Malaysia and the United States had already agreed
on the non-negotiables, such as the bumiputra policy and the sovereign right of
the nation to make policies. </P><P>Asked if Malaysia wanted the FTA more than
the United States, Rafidah described it as a marriage which required talking to
each other. </P><P>“Do you want to get married more than he does? You both
want to get married. If you negotiate, does this mean he loves you less than you
